An acknowledged victim of a frame up by the same police team, George Oldfield and Dick Holland that took the confessions from Peter Sutcliffe and allowed the real Ripper to get away. Superintendant George Oldfield was the policeman in charge of the Ripper investigation and the cop who browbeat a confession out of this vulnerable girl who had some fleeting contacts with members of Sinn Fein or the Republican movement in Northern Ireland. This successful conviction was part of his career achievment that propelled him to senior rank within the force.
